Assistant Professor
Ceramics Area Coordinator

Why did you come to WVU?
I came here because of the strength and the potential of the Ceramics program in the Division of Art and the College of Creative Arts. The China study program and the production studio make the WVU Ceramics program one of a kind in the country.

What do you like best about WVU?
The students, faculty, and staff have a sense of pride and take ownership of the University.

Describe a favorite experience you have had while teaching, or at the Creative Arts Center.
The Ceramics program, with the generous support of the Division and the College, hosted a very successful International Ceramics Conference during the 2008 Spring Semester. The Conference brought in nationally and internationally recognized artists, students, and members of the community for four days of lectures, demonstrations, exhibitions, and kiln-firings. The critical discourse that developed during those few days left a tremendous impact on our ceramic students.
