GPS Award
The School of Art and Design believes in the power of place based learning and has
established an annual award competition to fund outstanding students who are interested
in taking a
Global Positioning Studies (GPS) course.
Eligibility
All full-time School of Art and Design undergraduate and graduate majors (BA, BFA, BFA+, MA, MFA). Must be in good standing with the art program and university and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Art and Art History minors and non-majors are not eligible to apply.
Funding
A number of competitive awards are available. Awards will be deposited directly into the student’s account after student registration and the course enrollment is confirmed. Funding is available for GPS courses offered during the Spring, Summer and Fall semesters. For courses that take place before awards are announced, students will receive a credit in their account to put towards outstanding balances, or future tuition costs. Funding preference will be given to applications for off-campus courses with greater travel expenses.
