Scholarships for Current Art & Design Students

The WVU College of Creative Arts offers scholarships to currently enrolled majors and transfer students in the School of Art & Design.

The scholarships available to all art and design majors (current students and transfer students) range from $500 up to the cost of university tuition and are granted based on academic record and artistic merit as determined by the WVU School of Art & Design Scholarship Committee.

Art History majors must only submit a writing sample on their online application. Studio Art majors must submit the online application and exhibit a portfolio in-person for jury. Interactive Design for Media / Game Design and Interactive Media majors are not eligible for SoAD Scholarships and should apply for scholarships through the Reed College of Media, which will be awarded based on the Reed College of Media scholarship criteria

The online application for the 2024-25 academic year is open from October 2, 2023 through February 13, 2024.
