Kevin O'Gorman

Kevin O'Gorman earned a BA in Communications and Theater at the University of Notre Dame and his MA in Telecommunications at Michigan State University, despite growing up a New Englander. He has been involved with the video game industry since joining his first studio in 1997. As a lead designer, he led the creation of seven published titles. He has also served as a producer and a studio manager. He's been a member of the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) since 1997 and has led chapters in Dallas, Atlanta and New Orleans at various times. And to make things real interesting, he published a board game to see what that was like, too. As a result, he founded the IGDA's Analog Special Interest Group for people in the video game industry who are also interested in making tabletop games.

As an educator, Kevin has been teaching game design and development since 2004, at a number of universities and colleges including: UT Dallas, American InterContinental University, The Art Institutes, Dallas College and University of West Virginia. Kevin remains active in the game dev sector participating in game jams, where he is just as likely to create a tabletop game as he is one based on the Unity Engine.
