Todd Gantzler

Todd Gantzler is a 2D and 3D artist and animator, game designer, educator, course developer, and author. He attended The Ohio State University and earned a BFA in Computer Arts (cum laude) and an MA in Art Education / Computer Graphics (magna cum laude). 

Todd’s primary interest is online education.  He’s taught and developed courses for institutions of higher learning in North America, Europe and Oceania, including San Francisco State University, Art Institute of California, Academy of Art College, and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh.  Todd has been developing and teaching courses in game art since 2000.  He’s taught and developed courses for a number of different online schools.  Course subjects include art, design, animation, materials & lighting, version control, and project management. He is the author of the textbook “Game Development Essentials: Video Game Art” – Delmar Cengage Learning. 

Todd’s film credits include The Pagemaster.  Game credits include Star Wars: Rebel Assault II, Gex 3D, Cyberia, and Akuji the Heartless, for 2D and 3D art, as well as some character animation and game design. He has worked with Lucas Arts, Electronic Arts, and Capcom, among other game developers.
